St. Robert Feast

On the afternoon of Saturday the 22nd of September, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., we are looking for the good people of Knaresborough to club together and send 80 special guests to attend a St. Robert’s Feast. Our very own saint served the people of Knaresborough faithfully during his long stay at the cave and provided for those who were most marginalised and vulnerable in society. We’d like to honour St. Robert’s memory by ‘doing likewise’.

This is an opportunity for us to recognise those with a serving heart, and those who would otherwise not be likely to be invited to such a grand affair. Only a stone’s throw from St. Robert’s Cave, and at a delightful riverside location, there’ll be a marquee and a menu to reflect the fare of 12th Century England, all expertly prepared by local caterers having been selected by Prof. Iona McCleery from Leeds University, an expert in Medieval diets and food.

Tickets for this grand feast are £25 each, and places are strictly limited to 80 people on a first-come, first-served basis. You can purchase a ticket individually, or club together, to send someone you think deserves to be there. Do check with the individual that they will be available, and then provide us with some basic information when you pay for the ticket, and we'll do the rest.
